ITS at 7-9 March 2007 Geneva Motor Show

“Fully Networked Car” ITS exhibition and workshop at 2007 Geneva Motor Show
ERTICO Partner Ygomi to help organise 7-9 March 2007 event focusing on the latest ITS technologies

Brussels, Belgium – ITS will take centre stage at the 7-9 March 2007 Geneva Motor Show, with a special exhibition and workshop entitled “The Fully Networked Car, Information and Communication Technologies in Motor Vehicles”. The exhibition and workshop are being organised by the International Telecommunication Union together with its partners ISO and IEC, as well as help from ERTICO Partner Ygomi.

The events intend to review and examine the implications of the latest developments in the fast-moving market for ITS.

Building on the success of two previous workshops, the exhibition portion of the event will showcase the latest technologies in the field, while the workshop will bring together all stakeholders to discuss the current state of this technology and agree on how to achieve progress.

The workshop aims to shed light on questions such as:

  • How do we face technical and engineering challenges?
  • How do we make sure that the right standards are adopted to deal with the complexity of so many electronic components?
  • What are the best ways to allow this market to develop its full potential?

The Geneva Motor Show is one of the world’s leading automotive events and in 2007 will provide 700 m2 of exhibition space to consumer or concept communication technologies for vehicles. This will include communication from/to the car, location-based services, multimedia entertainment, diagnostics, safety, eCall, and others.
