Zeist – Targi Pomorskie (Pomeranian Fair) is pleased to announce that they have joined forces with Europoint in organising the 6th edition of InterRailTech in 2006. Europoint, based in Zeist, the Netherlands, are professional congress and exhibition organisers with a great deal of experience in organising rail-related international exhibitions and congresses. By combining the expertise and strengths of both organisations the fair of InterRailTech 2006 will become increasingly international. It will also be complemented for the first time by an international railway conference. In 2006 InterRailTech will be held for the sixth time. Over the years it has become an inherent part of the international railway events itinerary. InterRailTech 2006 will be held in Centrum Expo XXI in Warsaw on 22-24 November 2006.

Mr. Roman Pikula, managing director of Targi Pomorski explains: “we have strengthened our fair by co-operating with Europoint, an acclaimed fair and railway conference organiser in Europe. Due to the expertise of Europoint our fair in 2006 will be complemented by an international rail conference.” He continues: “Moreover, through their large international database with over 15,000 experts in the international railway sector we will be able to get in contact with many international railway experts. This will enable us to make InterRailTech an increasingly international event.”

International fair

The Polish rail market consists of 23,000 kilometers of railway lines, 155,6 million tons of transported goods and approximately 300 million passengers. The railway sector is therefore an important sector for the Polish economy. The InterRailTech fair offers an opportunity to present the latest Polish and global railway technology. It will therefore provide excellent promotion opportunities for international railway companies and will be the place to establish new contacts and start co-operation with regard to new technologies, production and trade.

International conference

New at this international event is the international conference. The theme of this conference is ‘Poland between East & West’. The conference will focus on the strategic link of Poland, different gauges, interoperability, light rail, rail freight and the consequences of Poland as a member state of the European Union. Participating in the international conference offers a unique opportunity to meet international railway professionals.

Grand Prix

The ‘Grand Prix’ will be awarded to the exhibiting company at InterRailTech implementing the most innovative product or service or providing an especially valuable contribution to the rail sector. The selection criteria are besides innovation, also inventiveness and potential market value. A competent jury will judge the nominations and will announce the award winner during the event.
