WPS signs strategic Camping-Car deal on French market

WPS, part of the international technical services provider Imtech, announces the signing of a 5-year contract with the French company Camping-Car Park for supplying parking management and central control room equipment to stopover areas for camping cars throughout France. Camping-Car Park operates a new network of service and parking areas for motorhomes in France, with more locations planned throughout Europe in the near future.

Management of all Camping-Car Park areas in France will be done remotely from a central control room. From this central location, Camping-Car Park can control and manage all stopover areas. WPS does not only supply all access control equipment for these stopover areas, it also provides the IT based management solution for both the local stopover areas and the central control room.

The first installations, in Nantes and in Vannes, are already installed. Camping-Car Park plans to develop 1,500 areas over the next 5 years and to have between 60,000 and 80,000 members over the same period. The goal is to open 100 areas before the start of the 2012 holiday season.

Each area consists of:

• Spaces of 35 m²

• Electricity

• Access to terminal services (water supply and drainage)

• Household waste collection

• WiFi access

Access to these areas, services and rates are the same everywhere in France, with a badge for members and a code for those new to the concept (non-subscribers).
