The event for startups in the traffic technology and automotive field

The number of traffic technology and smart mobility startups is ever growing, contributing significantly to the innovative character of the industry. Consequently, commercial businesses, cities and government authorities are keen to cooperate with these new entrepreneurs.

Intertraffic will offer these startups their own exposure platform. The launch of the event ITSUP during Intertraffic Amsterdam 2018 will provide the perfect opportunity to engage with a large quality audience of traffic technology professionals and to pitch innovative solutions. The Intertraffic brand, with its global event portfolio, herewith provides the ideal setting for startups to present their solutions and connect with suitable partners.

The ITSUP event will be staged in a dedicated hall, right next to the new Smart Mobility hall. There will be open stages available for presentations as well as a networking area in the centre of the hall facilitating matchmaking. Moreover, there is scope for live demonstrations in and around RAI Amsterdam. The hall will also feature a small segment for ‘pre-‘ startup solutions as well as a hackathon, organized for technical university students.

ITSUP during Intertraffic Amsterdam will be made possible through the support provided by sponsors, partners and the Intertraffic organisation, enabling startups to participate for a nominal exhibition fee.

Joyce de Winter, Exhibition Manager of Intertraffic Amsterdam, believes the ITSUP event could be a great asset for sponsors and partners alike. ‘The link between a company’s brand and innovation is very valuable in this day and age.’, says Joyce de Winter. ‘The number of smart mobility startups keeps rising which is why a lot of companies want to cooperate with young, innovative businesses.’ She adds ‘ITSUP works both ways; by providing startups with a platform to pitch their ideas, they can find suitable partners and established companies can look for new and relevant concepts within the industry.’

ITSUP will be held from 20 to 23 March 2018 during Intertraffic Amsterdam 2018. Startups who fall within the startup criteria can sign up for the event through the Intertraffic website. Amongst the criteria are a solid business plan and an innovative intelligent solution. Furthermore, products need to be globally applicable and hyper-scalable (rapid growth rate) with a high feasibility factor. The startup must be pertaining to at least one of the following industries: traffic technology, telecom, automotive, service providers, security industry or ICT.
