Innovation is an essential theme at Intertraffic Amsterdam and is named as the number one reason why people visit the show. With the introduction of the InnovationLAB, Intertraffic Amsterdam offers a central stage for all innovation at the show. The InnovationLAB showcases the nominated products of the Intertraffic Innovation Awards, and visitors can browse individual nominee information on iPads. Throughout the show the stage hosts seminars, workshops, debates and presentations.

Powered by the HR Groep

An experience area, where the products of the 15 Innovation Award 2016 nominees are showcased. Where IPS, a network for smart products and solutions in public spaces from the HR Groep is launched. It is also home to control technology applications for traffic systems and operations by PSI & Mines and DiTTLab, an open-source traffic simulation based on open traffic and transport data from the Technical University of Delft. You can witness mobility demonstrations such as the Prescan Truck Platooning simulation from Tass Internationals and the Eindhoven University of Technology will present futuristic electric vehicles. TNO demonstrates its first-ever ‘intelligent bicycle.

New this edition is a Startup Lane with a variety of mobility solutions presented by various start-ups. Visitors can try the latest parking and travel apps from start-ups like Roudle, BimBimbikes, GoSparc, Beepbeep parking, Parkquery and Mobypark. The startup lane is sponsored by the Dow Chemical Company.

The On Stage area will cover themes such as Smart Mobility Services, Traffic & Transport Efficiency, Smart Infrastructure, Automated Driving, Parking Solutions and Safer Traffic. It offers room to pitch presentations and demonstrations from Intertraffic nominees and startups, product launches, mobility debates, interactive presentations, as well as discussion and sessions involving end-users.

Launch of IPS

Intelligent Public Space (IPS) from HR Groep; the gateway to smart solutions and applications in public space! Come learn more about this on April 5th during the launch of IPS.

IPS is the network for smart products and solutions in public spaces. The added value of the solution plays a central role, not the product itself. Thanks to smart technologies, it is now possible to add functionalities to existing products and services, due to which a product or service will include an extra contribution. IPS is useful for management of assets, it becomes easy and cost efficient. Smart combinations make the public space safer, more cost efficient, more sustainable and more comfortable.

PSI Group at the Intertraffic InnovationLAB

On Intertraffic 2016 PSI presents the first prototype of a multi-criteria decision support system, PSIroads-MDS. PSIroads-MDS, powered by Qualicision®, introduces a new category of decision support in the management of multi-layered transportation networks. It is easy to use in daily network management and enables the co-operation between different authorities to optimise overall network performance with high benefit to the road users.

Startup lane at InnovationLAB

Within the framework of the EU Presidency, there will be several Startup Fest Europe initiatives in the Netherlands at the end of May. Of course Intertraffic cannot stay behind and has created its own Startup Lane at the InnovationLAB at the beginning of April.

Innovation is one of the main drivers of the transport industry. Staying updated with the latest market developments and innovations is one of the main reasons to visit Intertraffic Amsterdam. Therefore, the exhibition presents the InnovationLAB in hall 9 this edition, which aims to demonstrate innovations and help new products and services find their way to the market.

Part of the InnovationLAB is the Startup Lane which offers start-ups and young professionals an interactive platform in order to bring their innovative ideas to the market or to new find business partners. In the Startup Lane innovations can be shown that contribute to innovation in the traffic & transport industry with themes such as: Smart Mobility Services, Traffic & Transport Efficiency, Smart Infrastructure, Cooperative & Automated Driving, Parking Solutions, and Safer Traffic.
