Veidekke to build motorway in Sweden

Oslo, Norway – Veidekke’s Swedish subsidiary, Veidekke Anläggning Öst, has been commissioned by Vägverket Region Öst (Swedish Road Administration) to build a section of the Road 73 between between Nynäshamn and Stockholm. This is a turnkey contract at a price of SEK 343 million, VAT excluded.

Veidekke’s contract is for the construction of a new 4-lane section of the motorway between Överfors and Länsmyran. The contract includes 6.3 km of motorway, 9 bridges, connecting local roads and 7.5 km of main water pipes for Stockholm Vatten.

The construction will start in September 2007, and the contract is scheduled for completion by 30 September 2009.
