Leighton to construct EUR 118 mln motorway Australia
Leighton Contractors Limited wins contract for six-lane motorway in Queensland, Australia
Essen, Germany – HOCHTIEF‘s Australian Group company Leighton has been awarded the contract to design and construct a six-lane motorway in Queensland, Australia. Leighton Contractors Limited will widen the Ipswich Motorway and construct on/off ramps to connect it with the Logan Motorway. The company will also carry out bridgeworks. Construction is planned to run from January 2007 to early 2009.
Leighton is currently delivering a number of projects in the Brisbane region including the Brisbane Tunnel and the Gateway Motorway between Mount Gravatt and Nudgee.
