Eurotunnel appointments

Given the recent developments the company has been through, Jacques Gounon, Chairman and Chief Executive of Groupe Eurotunnel, has appointed two Deputy Chief Executives. Claude Liénard takes on responsibility for Corporate Services and Michel Boudoussier takes over Tunnel operations.

Claude Liénard is appointed Deputy Chief Executive responsible for Corporate Services. Claude Liénard, 62, is a graduate of EDHEC. He was Financial Controller at DBA and then ITT in Brussels and Paris before joining Eurotunnel in 1986 to manage the Financial Control Department. Since April 2005, he has been Finance Director.

Michel Boudoussier joins Groupe Eurotunnel as Deputy Chief Executive responsible for Channel Tunnel Operations. Michel Boudoussier, 46, a railway specialist, studied at the Ecole Normale Supérieure and subsequently became an Engineer at the Corps des Mines. Following several appointments in the French Ministère de l’Industrie, in 1995 he joined the Ministère de l’Aménagement du Territoire, de la Ville et de l’Intégration. Michel Boudoussier has spent the major part of his career at SNCF, starting as manager for freight in the Lorraine region. In 2003 he was made Regional Director for SNCF in Normandy, before becoming Regional Director for SNCF in the Nord – Pas-de-Calais, in 2006. From September 2008, Michel Boudoussier was Human Resources Director for the Infrastructure arm of SNCF.
