Logistics and Transport India 2008 and Rail-Tech Asia 2008

Zeist, The Netherlands – Tafcon Projects (India) Pvt. Ltd. from India and Europoint from the Netherlands are pleased to announce two new joint exhibitions and conferences, Logistics and Transport India 2008 and Rail-Tech Asia 2008, which will both take place during 03-05 December 2008 at the Pragati Maidan venue in New Delhi. These three-day international exhibitions will deal respectively with logistics and transport issues and with rail infrastructure and high speed rail issues in India and abroad. Both exhibitions will be supported by international conferences on the same topics. Tafcon and Europoint are both experienced international exhibition and conference organisers in their countries. Tafcon as well as Europoint have organised many international events over respectively the past 50 and 10 years in the areas of transport, rail infrastructure, high speed lines, ports, etc. Tafcon and Europoint have decided to combine forces in organising these events being convinced that they will succeed in making these events successful ones for all stakeholders involved.

India is one of the largest economies in the world. Growth figures of over 9% on annual Gross National Product (GNP) are no exception. This has had an enormous effect on export and import figures. India has been facing a major challenge in transporting all these industrial products in time to clients all over the world. For instance Indian Railways is handling 667 million tonnes of freight per year next to 5.7 billion passengers on an annual basis. New harbours, railway lines, airports and other infrastructural projects have been launched in India in order to overcome these transportation challenges. Indian Railways have prepared an ambitious plan to be implemented over the next 5 years. Logistics and Transport India 2008 and Rail-Tech Asia 2008 will serve as international platforms where these items will be discussed and best practices will be shared.

India is by far one of the countries that is interested in exchanging views about technology for transport, logistics and rail issues. Both events offer international stakeholders a stepping stone to one of the largest economic players of the next decade. Logistics and Transport India 2008 and Rail-Tech Asia 2008 will attract international exhibitors in the field of air-freight, technology, logistics, rail freight, high speed rail, transport, transport vehicles, shipping, supply chain and telematics.
