Dates Confirmed For Second Exporail Show In Russia

Moscow, Russian Federation – Dates have now been confirmed for Exporail 2007, the second international exhibition of railway technology to be held in Russia. The show will take place at the Pavilion 8 at Expocentr, Moscow, from 27-29 November 2007.

Supported by Russian Railways (RZD), this latest event will open its doors just over one year after the successful conclusion of Exporail 2006, which was held at the same venue last November. More than 150 exhibitors from 15 countries participated in that show, including many of the rail supply industry’s most prominent international companies, as well as leading Russian suppliers.

The exhibition was visited by more than 1,800 industry professionals from 29 countries, including delegates from a major international conference organised by the trade magazine RZD-Partner, which took place at the same time. In a post-show survey, around 80% of participating exhibitors said they wholly or partly achieved their aim of making initial contacts and building relationships with Russian companies.

Exporail 2007 is organised by Restec-Brooks, a joint venture established by Mack Brooks Exhibitions Ltd and the St Petersburg-based Restec Exhibition Company. It is intended to provide a showcase for the latest and best in railway equipment and systems, with a special focus on the Russian market. RZD continues to benefit from major investment as traffic grows and the rail network responds to the needs of the country’s growing economy.

Taking place alongside Exporail 2007 and also organised by Restec Brooks will be INTERtunnel 2007, covering tunnel construction and operations technology. Previous INTERtunnel shows have been successfully presented alongside rail exhibitions in Italy and Switzerland but this will be the first time this event has been staged in Russia.
