Exporail 2006 gains approval of Russian railways

Russian Railways (OAO RZD) has added its support to Exporail 2006, which is to take place in Moscow from 1 to 3 November 2006. The endorsement of the world’s largest unified railway system underlines the key role to be played by this new exhibition of railway equipment and technology.

The show is also attracting a growing international list of exhibitors, with companies from eight countries already among its participants. Siemens Transportation Systems has confirmed its intention to exhibit. Also planning to exhibit are vehicle suspension specialists Freudenberg Schwab, passenger coach equipment suppliers Hübner and Temoinsa and Swiss track products manufacturer Schwihag. All will be seeking to benefit from the massive opportunities created by RZD’s investment in modernisation and growth. Reservations of stand space at the show have also been made by other prominent companies representing both rolling stock and infrastructure sectors of the rail market.

Exporail 2006 will provide a unique opportunity for suppliers covering all sectors of the industry to establish a profile in the rail market in Russia, where major investments are planned in the railway’s infrastructure and rolling stock as RZD responds to the challenges it faces to meet the demands of the country’s fast-growing economy. Visiting rail industry professionals from many neighbouring countries are also expected.
