WPS takes next step in Spain through strategic agreement with Telvent

WPS Parking Systems, part of the international technical service provider Imtech, announces the signing of a strategic agreement with Telvent in order to expand its business and presence in the Spanish market. As a result of this agreement, WPS and Telvent will now both provide WPS parking management solutions to customers on the Spanish market. With this partnership WPS takes a significant step on the Spanish market, both in size and presence.

Telvent, part of Schneider Electric, provides parking management solutions to over 250 car parks throughout Spain and serves customers across all market sectors, such as leading companies in car park operators, airports, stadiums and hospitals.

According to Peter Peddemors, Managing Director of WPS, With this strategic partnership we broaden our activities on the Spanish market and give Telvent customers in Spain access to WPS barcode technology-based parking management solutions and WPS Park & Recharge. It reinforces both WPS as well as Telvent s commitment to meet customer needs on the Spanish market by offering the most comprehensive integrated parking management solutions, increasing the operational efficiency of parking facilities, improving the user experience and focusing on operator-friendliness and profitability. With a nationwide network of sales and service employees, 5 regional offices and over 50 years of experience on the Spanish market we strongly believe both Telvent and WPS will benefit from this partnership.

Through this partnership, Telvent can provide its customers on the Spanish market with the innovative and centralized WPS parking management solutions. WPS was the first to incorporate barcode technology into its parking management solutions, a technique that has become the market standard since. Using barcode technology gives parking operators the benefits of a reliable and secure solution with low maintenance, resulting in a reduction of operating cost and an increased profitability of their facilities.
