Change-over in HOCHTIEF management in 2007

Lütkestratkötter to succeed Keitel

Essen, Germany – In 2006-11-21 meeting, the supervisory board of HOCHTIEF Aktiengesellschaft agreed to the request of Dr.-Ing. Hans-Peter Keitel (59) to be released from his offices as member and chairman of the management board as per 31 March 2007. At the same time, Dr.-Ing. Herbert Lütkestratkötter (56) was appointed deputy chairman of the management board and, as of 1 April 2007, Dr. Keitel’s successor.

After almost 15 years in the top management of HOCHTIEF, it was Dr. Keitel’s wish to withdraw from the first line of responsibility and to pass on this responsibility to new hands in view of the contractual age limit.

Under his lead the company developed to become an immensely successful international provider of construction services. Further strategic milestones such as the airport management or the acquisition of Turner in the U.S.A. bear his trademark. The supervisory board thanked Dr. Keitel on behalf of the company in recognition of his outstanding achievements.

It is intended, in due course, to propose Dr. Keitel’s election into the supervisory board to the shareholders.

Dr. Lütkestratkötter has been a member of HOCHTIEF’s management board since 2003 and has been in charge of the regions North and South America and project development. Within a short period of time he expanded facility management with great success and made HOCHTIEF the German market leader for Public-private partnership. Before joining HOCHTIEF, Dr. Lütkestratkötter has filled executive positions in the international construction business and the engineering services sector for many years. His world-wide experience predestines him for the new position.

HOCHTIEF is one of the leading international providers of construction-related services. With more than 41,000 employees and a sales volume of EUR 13.65 billion in FY 2005, the company is represented in all the world‘s major markets. In the USA, the biggest construction market in the world, HOCHTIEF is the No. 1 general builder via its subsidiary Turner. With its Group company Leighton, HOCHTIEF is market leader in Australia. The HOCHTIEF service offering in the fields of development, construction, services, concessions and operation covers the entire value chain of projects.
