Bilfinger Berger has sold 3 concession projects

Mannheim, Germany – As planned, Bilfinger Berger has sold its equity investment in three projects from its privately-financed concessions portfolio: the British Embassy in Berlin, schools in Wiltshire, UK and a hospital in Hull, UK. The purchaser is Secondary Market Infrastructure Fund (“SMIF”), a British financial investor. Both sides have agreed to keep financial details of the transaction confidential.

In the course of 2006, Bilfinger Berger has reached successful financial close on three new traffic infrastructure projects in Canada, Northern Ireland and Norway. Total investment volume for the three is €1.3 billion. The Group’s investment portfolio now comprises 14 projects, with a committed equity of €134 million. During 2006, Bilfinger Berger has also been selected as preferred bidder for four new concession projects in Germany and the United Kingdom. The investment volume of these projects amounts to €350 million, with an anticipated equity commitment from Bilfinger Berger of around €25 million.
