Mouchel Parkman pre-close trading update

Surrey, United Kingdom – Mouchel Parkman plc, the professional support services group, 1 August 2006 gave a trading update for the twelve months ending 31 July 2006, prior to entering its close period.

The outturn for the year will be in line with our expectations.

The Group’s strong contract win rate during the year means that its forward order book has increased to an all time high of £1.2 billion. At the same time, the bidding pipeline of near term opportunities and contract extensions has been sustained at £1.0 billion.

Richard Cuthbert, Chief Executive, commented:

“We have made excellent progress in the second half. Mobilisation of our highway commissions for the London Borough of Harrow and for the Highways Agency (Area 1), start-up of our new highways contract in north-west Scotland and of the bundled services contract in Rochdale, and preferred bidder negotiations for the bundled services opportunity in Oldham, are all progressing extremely well. The strength of our order book, which continues to give us excellent visibility of future earnings, and the significant pipeline of bidding opportunities maintains our confidence in our future prospects.”
