Australian HOCHTIEF subsidiary wins new contract worth more than EUR 200 million

Essen, Germany – The Australian HOCHTIEF Group company Leighton, together with partners, has been awarded a contract to design and construct the dual carriageway Perth Bunbury Highway in Western Australia. Leighton Contractors Limited has a share of approximately EUR 208 million in the contract (total volume approximately EUR 303 million). Works are expected to start in december 2006 and will be completed by the end of 2009.

With this new contract, the Australian HOCHTIEF company brings its total of major contracts acquired in the transportation infrastructure segment this year to more than EUR 1.6 billion.
