Nedap highlights its innovation in parking and traffic at Intertraffic 2018

During Intertraffic Amsterdam, 20-23 March, Nedap presents the leading smart parking and vehicle identification solutions to the market at booth 02.114. What can visitors expect? Maarten Mijwaart, General Manager of Nedap Identification Systems, shares a preview.

Since the previous edition of Intertraffic in 2016, we have significantly expanded and improved our portfolio. Here are a few highlights:

Smart parking technology
Our SENSIT platform for wireless vehicle detection in parking bays has been expanded with a sensor that is using infrared and magnetic sensing technology but yet still can be recessed fully into the floor. This flush mount sensor is well received and has proven to be a game changer. This also applies to the new networking technology that we are currently researching and implementing.

Supporting new standards
Our TRANSIT, uPASS and ANPR readers for long range identification have been further improved when it comes to performance and supporting new and more secure interfacing standards like OSDP.

Mobile access control
Our MACE platform to enable the use of smartphones for access control is continuously expanded and improved. The all new MACE Smart reader is supporting multiple technologies and is able to read conventional smartcards and also virtual cards on your phone. Virtual cards can easily be distributed and revoked using our intuitive admin portal. It will work with any parking management or access control system out there in our industry.

Vehicle access control
Our MOOV platform now enables any urban environment to optimize the use of scarce parking and traffic capacity. It is the first purpose designed access control system for vehicles in the world. It allows you to provide exemptions for vehicle access, it enables you to share parking capacity and it allows you to provide access to people that reserved a parking bay through a third party system.

'It is with great pride that we can invite you to our booth at this great tradeshow and be able to show you how we have expanded our ability to support you in securing the traffic flow of vehicles and people in cities, at university campuses, at airports and all kinds of other environment where many people and vehicles assemble to work, shop, study or perform another task', says Maarten Mijwaart, General Manager of Nedap Identification Systems. 'Let's meet in Amsterdam and discuss how we can work together to deliver great applications!'
