Arcadis (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the leading global Design & Consultancy firm for natural and built assets, today 09-03-2017 announced that its Supervisory Board has nominated Peter Oosterveer (59) as CEO and Chairman of the Arcadis Executive Board. The Supervisory Board is proposing the appointment of Mr. Oosterveer to the Executive Board for a period of four years at the next annual general meeting of shareholders on April 26, 2017. Mr. Oosterveer joins Arcadis from Fluor Corporation, where he was Chief Operating Officer and a member of the company's Corporate Leadership Team.

"Following a thorough selection process, we are pleased to have recruited Peter Oosterveer, a seasoned international leader, who understands our sector and has a proven track record in leading a global business in the engineering industry," said Niek Hoek, Chairman of Arcadis' Supervisory Board. "We are on a journey to ensuring Arcadis' global capabilities reach more and more clients, and that we outperform our competition in global and local markets. "Arcadis is a great company entering a critical phase in its development, and I'm excited about the prospect of leading it through that phase", said Mr. Oosterveer. "I look forward to working with the rest of the Executive Board and all the talented people in Arcadis to deliver profitable and sustainable growth. My passion as a leader is ensuring the highest quality delivery, and unrelenting client focus, and I know this matches Arcadis' values. My international business experience, knowledge of the engineering industry, and client and people development focus will be invaluable for the success of Arcadis. "

Mr. Oosterveer is a Dutch national and holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Noordelijke Hogeschool Leeuwarden.
