Railport (english)

A Railport is a transhipment area especially designated for companies who don’t have a private siding. They can use the Railport to deliver their goods by road and further transport by rail to their customers. At Railports all kinds of goods can be handled such as packed and unpacked goods, liquid and solids, palletized and bulk cargo. Railports are also equipped with gantry cranes, forklifts, belts and draglines. Additional services comprise storage and pre- and onward carriage. The Railport system is introduced by DB Schenker.
